Counter Narrative
The Long History of Hangul
Fall 2020Saint Louis, United States
Hangul,
the Korean alphabet, is evaluated as the world’s most outstanding alphabet, in
which its creative spirit is “independence, love for the people, and
practicality.” By foregrounding Korean typographic history, Hangul, and showing
how political and social shifts influenced its development, this poster
provides a counter narrative to a modernistic and Anglo-centric portrayal of
graphic design history.
The size of the poster is A1 format (23.39 x 33.11").
